Description
Fall, 2045C.E. Aizawa Shuuhei, a second year cadet enrolled in Central Military Academy’s main division, is dispatched to the orbital space station Aries on a training mission. There he reunites with his younger brother, Ryouta, and his childhood friend, Nao, both of whom resided there as cadets enrolled in the preparatory division.

Then suddenly, an unidentified space ship under the control of Jararacas, a radical terrorist organization, attacks the Aries and seizes control of the main control room. With all communication lines cut off, Shuuhei and the others have no way to escape; they’re trapped. Trapped in space, 250 miles above the Earth with nowhere to run. In the midst of this desperate situation, the cadets must gather their courage and rise up to take back the Aries. As they do, they draw ever closer to the fearsome truth lurking behind this incident...

One of our translators has been making steady progress on production of Baseson’s Harukoi Otome. Translation of the common route, Umi’s route, Yuika’s route, and Kisaya’s route are complete, leaving only three more individual routes to go. And yes, in case you can’t tell by how long the translation of this game is taking, it does indeed rival Koihime Musou for length. In fact, Koihime Musou was originally a spin-off from this very game, much like how Nanoha was a spin-off from Triangle Hearts.

Our other two translators have been hard at work as well. One has finished the translations for Go Go Japan ~My First Trip~ as well as a very funny game from SCORE and also just finished up a sexy tale of swords and magic from Tactics. Likewise, the other one has finished translations for a dark fantasy from Liquid and is nearly finished with a sexy, magical game from SCORE.

On my end, the re-translation for Edelweiss has been complete for a while now and I’ve moved on to DEARDROPS. After finishing my play-through, I have to say the live scenes are amazingly well done. I’ve translated the lyrics for all of the songs and sent them off, so those of you who buy the game will definitely have them when its released. Each one really ties into the scene its featured in very well, so I hope you enjoy them all. My favorites have been “Anytime, Anywhere” and “My Dear Stardust”, the former of which was listened to by several people during the quakes for encouragement (according to comments on twitter).

Utawarerumono 2 and Tears to Tiara 2 game

The bishōjo game maker AQUAPLUS announced six new titles this week, including sequels for two of its flagship titles: Utawarerumono and Tears to Tiara. Both of these franchises inspired anime projects in the past.

The tentatively titled Utawarerumono 2 will take place in the same world setting as the first game with artist Tatsuki Amazuyu (ToHeart2) returning not only to design, but also to direct the project. Tears to Tiara 2 is also a tentatively titled game set in the same world as its simulation role-playing game predecessor, but it will feature new main characters designed by dōjinshi artist Tatami Honjō. Both of these games will ship for the Playstation 3 console, although AQUAPLUS has not announced their release dates.

The tentatively titled Jasmine is an original work being written by Yūichi Suzumoto, a scenario writer for the Air, Clannad and Planetarian visual novels. Hisashi Kawata (ToHeart2, White Album) is responsible for the artwork. The game's console and release date has not been determined.

Aquapazza: AQUAPLUS Dream Match is the latest arcade fighting game from Examu, the creator of the successful Japanese fighting game franchise Arcana Heart. AquaPazza will feature characters from various AQUAPLUS franchises when it arrives this spring in Japan.

The final two games are based on the AQUAPLUS classic ToHeart2. ToHeart2 DX plus will ship this summer on the PlayStation 3 with a story that combines the original ToHeart2 with ToHeart2 Another Days and new heroines. ToHeart2: Dungeon Travelers will feature characters from the franchise in a fantasy dungeon role-playing game when it ships for the PSP on May 26.

The February 17 issue of Enterbrain's Weekly Famitsu magazine provides more information and staff interviews for these new titles this week.

Description
Gunjo Gakuen (Deep Blue School) is a facility designed to gather and isolate those students who got a high score on an adaptation exam (Scoring high on this exam indicates that the student is less likely to be able to be adapted to the society) mandated by the government.

After a failed summer vacation with other members of the school's broadcasting club, Taichi Kurosu and some of the other club members return to the city, only to find that all living creatures within it except for the club members have completely vanished. In order to confirm the status of the outside world, Taichi decides to gather other club members to help Misato Miyasumi, the president of the broadcasting club, who is trying to set up a broadcasting antenna to contact any possible survivors.

My name is Daichi Shou, and I'm nothing special. I tell my folks back at home that I'm a big shot, but I'm really just working a part time job delivering soba (buckwheat noodles) for a shop on the Himeda mountain ridge - I drive the route morning and evening, live in my simple apartment and banish all thoughts of fame or glory from my mind.

But all that changed suddenly when one day on my route I got into an accident, fell unconscious and when I woke up I was in the passenger seat of a taxi driven by a beautiful girl! I didn't remember the details, but it seems I'd lost memory of what happened earlier and she thought I was a genius racing navigator...

She said her name was Michi, and she was so cute I couldn't help but go along with her case of mistaken identity. With my advice her driving skills became top notch, and attracted competition from around the country and beyond.
